Objective
To implement an integrated energy solution to support
Grupel´s industrial processes, ensuring efficient coordination between photovoltaic generation, energy storage, and consumption. The project was designed to reduce grid dependency, improve cost predictability, and enhance operational efficiency, in line with the company’s strategy to integrate sustainable solutions into its industrial activity.
Energy Production
The photovoltaic plant, with an installed capacity of 500 kWp, enables an estimated annual production of 665.6 MWh for self-consumption. The storage system, with a capacity of 645 kWh, allows managing the mismatch between production and consumption, ensuring the use of generated energy during peak demand periods. The solution integrates solar generation, battery storage, and existing generator sets, using SolaX technology to ensure reliability, operational flexibility, and advanced energy control.
Sustainability
The project enables an estimated reduction of up to 66% in energy costs, lowering exposure to electricity price volatility. From an environmental perspective, it is expected to reduce approximately 314 tonnes of CO₂ annually. The integration of storage also allows for more efficient energy management, including shifting consumption to more favorable periods, improving overall system efficiency and sustainability.
