The solar plant, with a capacity of 613.12 kWp, covers a substantial part of the energy consumption for both PET and glass packaging production lines.
This project reinforces Carvalhelhos' ESG commitment, offsetting 417 tonnes of CO₂ annually—equivalent to planting 2,588 trees—and positioning the company as a leader in sustainable manufacturing within the water industry.
Prosolia Energy developed and installed two self-consumption units with a total of 1,125 high-efficiency photovoltaic modules on the industrial facility's rooftops, with a total installed capacity of 613.12 kWp.
