The facility is projected to cover 80% of the factory's energy demand. By prioritizing on-site generation and consumption, the project minimizes transmission losses and provides the plant with enhanced energy independence, insulating it from grid volatility.
An approach that fosters both efficiency and energy independence. By hybridizing solar and wind power, the project meets a significant portion of the factory's energy demand through on-site generation—accelerating decarbonization while bolstering the sustainable development of the region.
The project has been implemented across five distinct phases, focusing on the hybridization of solar and wind power, with battery storage integration slated for the near future.

The Stellantis Zaragoza project leverages on-site solar generation to meet a significant portion of the factory’s electricity needs. This approach not only reduces CO₂ emissions but also bolsters industrial competitiveness. It is a core component of Stellantis’ commitment to carbon neutrality and a sustainable energy transition.
